Our commitment
The Attic Monkeys, LLC is committed to keeping this website usable by everyone, including people who rely on screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, screen magnification, or other assistive technology. We treat accessibility as part of building the site, not as a feature added on at the end.
Standard we target
The site aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium. Specifically, this means we aim for:
- Color contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text and meaningful graphics.
- A visible focus indicator on every interactive element, accessible by keyboard alone.
- Alt text on every meaningful image; empty alt text on purely decorative ones.
- Form fields with programmatically associated labels and clear error messages.
- Semantic page structure (one H1 per page, properly nested headings, landmark regions).
- Touch targets large enough to use without precise pointing.
- No content that flashes more than three times per second.
Known limitations
We’re honest that the site isn’t perfect. Specific gaps we’re aware of as of the effective date above:
- Some marketing imagery is loaded from a CDN; if those requests fail, alt-text fallbacks should still render but the visual flow will be degraded.
- A few decorative animations (subtle “rise” transitions on page entry) honor your operating system’s reduced-motion preference, but if you experience any motion-related discomfort that isn’t covered, please tell us.
- The mobile-only fixed bottom action bar adds extra padding to the page bottom; on some screen-reader setups the announcement order may differ from sighted reading order. We’re tracking this.
If you find something else that’s a barrier, please tell us. We treat the report as a bug, not an inconvenience.
How to report a barrier
Email accessibility@theatticmonkeys.com with as much detail as you can share: the page you were on, what you were trying to do, the assistive technology you were using, and what went wrong. We aim to respond within five business days. If you need information from the site in an alternate format while we’re fixing the underlying issue, that same email is the right place to ask.
You can also reach us by phone at (321) 539-3282 (7:00am – 10:00pm, daily). Tell whoever answers that you’re calling about a website accessibility issue and they will route you to the right person.
How this page is maintained
We update this statement whenever the underlying site changes materially. The “Effective” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Major fixes that close known limitations above will be noted here when they ship.
