The Attic Monkeys, LLC(“The Attic Monkeys,” “we,” “us”) runs this website at theatticmonkeys.com and uses it to schedule on-site attic, insulation, and HVAC service in Brevard County, FL. This policy describes what information we collect through the website, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
When you request a quote or contact us through this site, we collect:
- Your name and the ZIP code where you’d like the work done.
- Your phone number.
- A short description of what you’re asking us to look at.
- A record of the consent you gave to be contacted: the exact wording you agreed to, the date, and the IP address the request came from. We keep this so we can show what you agreed to if it’s ever questioned.
- Basic information about how you reached the site (referring page, general location, device type, time of visit). This is the standard analytics footprint that any website with measurement tools picks up. See our Cookie Policy for the specifics.
We do not ask for, and the website does not collect, your social security number, government ID, bank account, or credit card information. Payment for completed work is handled separately, off this website.
How we use it
- To call or text you back to schedule the on-site visit.
- To prepare and send you a written quote.
- To follow up if you don’t respond to a quote, up to a reasonable number of attempts.
- To improve the website (which pages people use, where the form drops, that kind of thing).
How long we keep it
We keep quote-request information for about three years after your last contact with us, then delete it. If you become a customer, records tied to completed work follow the retention period in your work agreement (typically the length of any warranty, plus a few years for our own bookkeeping). If we’re required to hold something longer for a legal reason, such as a tax record or an open dispute, we do, and only for as long as that reason lasts.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. We share it only with the people and tools that need it to do the work you asked us to do:
- NovraScale, the company that built and hosts this website for us. When you submit the quote form, the request is delivered to our own inbox by email through Resend, the sending service NovraScale uses. Your quote request is not posted into any marketing or auto-messaging system; it simply lands in our email so a person can call you back.
- The crew assigned to your job, and any scheduling tool we use to run it.
- Subcontractors, where a specific job calls for one.
- Our website host, Cloudflare, which serves the site and handles basic security, and Google, whose Google Analytics 4 we use to measure how the site is used. See our Cookie Policy for what these set.
- Government or law enforcement, only when required by valid legal process.
Text messages and calls
When you give us your phone number on the quote form, you’re asking us to call or text you back about the quote. Standard message and data rates may apply. To stop receiving texts from us, reply STOP to any text message we send you, or email privacy@theatticmonkeys.com. We will not text or call you with general marketing offers; we only use the number you give us to follow up on the work you asked about. The full Text Messaging Terms spell this out.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses a small set of cookies for security and to measure traffic. Our Cookie Policy lists each one and how to switch it off. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in the settings. Blocking cookies will not stop you from using the site or requesting a quote.
Your rights
At any time you can ask us to send you a copy of what we have about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email privacy@theatticmonkeys.com with the request and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you live in a state with a comprehensive consumer-privacy law (such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and a growing number of others), you may have additional rights under that law; the same email address handles those requests. Florida’s Digital Bill of Rights applies only to very large companies and does not cover a business our size, but we honor the access, correction, and deletion requests above for everyone regardless of where you live.
Children
The website is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, email privacy@theatticmonkeys.com and we’ll delete it.
Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices change, and we’ll move the “Effective” date at the top whenever we do. For material changes that affect how we handle information you already gave us, we will email you using the address on file.
